Write On Downtown: A Journal of Phoenix Creativity

Write on Downtown: A Journal of Phoenix Creativity began in 2007 as a celebration of student writing on Arizona State University’s Downtown Phoenix campus. Since then, it has evolved into the only literary journal in Phoenix dedicated to showcasing the creative energy of our rapidly evolving city and the poets, writers, and artists who passionately represent it.

The 2022 issue marks our 16th year, and we believe that it not only celebrates the creative community of Phoenix, but that it reflects a community ethos that can’t be confined within the walls of any institution.

To that end, all of the photographs found on the poetry and prose pages in this issue were taken by community-based artist and long-time collaborator, Kurt Viers.
